March 10, 2008 - 6:35pm by ctugwell

On Saturday, March 15, from 1 PM to 3 PM, the Education Justice Campaign at Seattle Young People's Project will be hosting a "WASL Speak Out" at the Rainier Beach High School Performing Arst Center.  Youth are invited to voice their experiences and concerns regarding the high stakes exit exam.  This even is free and open to everyone.

I'm not totally sure what to think of the WASL.  One reason for my uncertainty is that educators have mixed feelings about it.  When I talk to my teacher friends in the Tahoma School District, they normally support the test.  On the other hand, my teacher friends in Seattle Public schools normally have negative feelings about the WASL.  ????????????????
